We do a variety of hands-on activities as we learn each letter of the alphabet. For each letter I create a simple printable that my toddler and preschooler can decorate with dot stickers. Today’s page is for letter Q.
Free letter Q Printable: Q is for Quarter
While worksheets are not necessary for teaching preschoolers, my dot sticker pages can be a fun activity to change things up. It is certainly not necessary to do them with every letter. Since I have three boys who are learning about the alphabet, usually only one of them does my dot sticker page for a particular letter.
My kids love the round office stickers left over from my teaching days, but there are many ways to complete these pages.
- with round magnets
- using Do-a-Dot markers
- with round cereal or another small snack
- with pom-poms hot glued to magnets
- by stamping a round object dipped in paint
